History and Mission
The Building Wellness Institute was established in 2005 to help businesses, long-term care facilities, schools and universities protect the health and comfort of their building occupants through comprehensive training, consulting and assessment programs.
The Building Wellness Institute's training program is the first and only program to be accredited through the Green Seal organization. Since the program's inception five years ago, more than 600 individuals have successfully completed the Green, Healthy Cleaning, GS 42 certification training program. Our training programs and services, delivered by seasoned professionals with cross-discipline expertise in occupational and environmental medicine, public health, industrial hygiene, toxicology, and chemical engineering, are designed to facilitate GS-42 certification, gain points toward LEED certification, and support a wide range of environmental wellness goals. For commercial buildings, long-term care facilities, and educational institutions, the Building Wellness Institute enables you to make a vital contribution to public health and the environment that delivers unparalleled gains—in reputation, revenue and regulatory compliance.
